National manufacturing week 2014 kicks off today

The National Manufacturing Week (NMW), the only fully integrated annual manufacturing exhibition showcasing the latest products and technologies in the manufacturing market, is set to open today at the Sydney Showground.

NMW provides a unique opportunity for suppliers of manufacturing technology equipment, technology and services to showcase their leading products to senior-decision makers form Australia’s manufacturing industry, providing an ideal platform to conduct business face-to-face.

This year’s edition in Sydney will feature 6 new product zones (machine tools, additive manufacturing, advanced materials, R&D hub, clean tech and digital manufacturing zone) on top of its existing annual offering, as well as an extensive parallel program of education and networking events.

NMW 2014 will also introduce a host of exciting new features including the incorporation of Australia’s leading plastics exhibition-Ausplas, a R&D hub to facilitate collaboration between visitors, as well one-to-one business meetings.

NMW in 2013 attracted over 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors over the four day period, and organisers are expecting to top that result in its newest edition that opens today.
