Manufacturing Titanium Medical Components Using 3D

CSIRO is working on developing the applications of difficult-to-machine metals, including titanium and its alloys, nickel, and cobalt chrome alloys.

‘We recently set up an Arcam additive manufacturing facility, to provide industry with access to an advanced electron beam melting service and technical expertise in 3D printing technology. The facility is believed to be the first Arcam machine in the southern hemisphere.’ CSIRO .
