Ford Tradition Affected by Quake

April 12, 2011 • Uncategorized

Ford joined the long list of auto-makers that had to limit/ suspend vehicle production following Japan’s recent earthquake and tsunami disaster. In a memo to its dealers, Ford is limiting production of some trucks and SUVs in “Tuxedo Black” and other hues due to a shortage of some pigments made in Japan. The memo added that Ford will continue manufacturing the affected vehicles. Ford spokesmen Todd Nissen said the change will not affect the quantity of vehicles Ford is able to produce. It will only affect the colour of vehicles the company is planning to produce.
