The Australian Made Campaign has announced its supportfor Furnishing in Focus 2013, a series of nationwide exhibitions that display locally made furniture from Australia’s top furniture manufacturers.

The event, which is held throughout May, is presented by leading Australian fabric manufacturer, Warwick Fabrics.

Warwick Fabrics is the first Australian-owned company to receive the Queen’s Award for export achievement and continues to lead the industry in the design, distribution and export of interior upholstery and window covering textiles to over 50 countries.

“The Australian Made Campaign is proud to support an event that exclusively showcases some of Australia’s leading furniture manufacturers,” said Australian Made Chief Executive, Ian Harrison.

“It’s important that members of the Australian furniture industry support each other to continue manufacturing world-class pieces.”

The exhibition, which will include both soft and hard furnishings, promises to introduce Australia’s top manufacturers and their locally made furnishings to a broad cross-section of industry visitors.

“There has been overwhelming support for the principles of Furnishing in Focus and for the results achieved so far, and for these Exhibitions to continue as trade only shows free of imported furniture product,” according to the event’s website.
