This year’s Trade Mission to China will be led by the Hon. Dr. Denis Napthine MP, Premier of Victoria.

According to Export Victoria, the mission will focus on Victoria’s lifestyle and liveability offering, taking off from Melbourne’s outstanding reputation as one of the most liveable cities in the world, based on ranking from the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Liveability Survey. Focus will also be given on the State’s world-class food and wine industries.

The sectors that will be included in this mission are food, beverage and agribusiness, health and aged care, ICT, sustainable urban design (including clean technology) and tourism.

The mission will capitalize on the opportunities that were developed in the 2012 Super Trade Mission, further cementing Victoria’s relationship with China, which is the State’s largest trading partner. The aim of the mission is to generate substantial new exports and jobs for Victoria.

Throughout the course of the trip the Government will coordinate programmed events, site visits and business matching meetings. The direct cost to participants will include items such as airfares and accommodation.

Applications for the Super Trade Mission close this Friday, September 6.
