Technology leader ABB has launched the Terra 360, the most powerful electric car charger in the world.
Delivering up to 360 kW of power and a full charge in less than 15 minutes, as well as 100km of range in less than three minutes, the Terra 360 is the only charger in the world designed to charge up to four vehicles at once. In other words, drivers will no longer have to wait in line, but can simply plug into another vacant plug.
The Terra 360 is fully customizable and perfect for refuelling stations, urban charging stations, retail parking and fleet applications.
“With governments around the world writing public policy that favours electric vehicles and charging networks to combat climate change, the demand for EV charging infrastructure, especially charging stations that are fast, convenient and easy to operate is higher than ever,” said Frank Muehlon, President of ABB’s E-mobility Division.
“It’s an exciting day for ABB, who as the global leader in electric vehicle fast charging, is playing a key role in enabling a low carbon society,” said Theodor Swedjemark, Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer at ABB.
“With road transport accounting for nearly a fifth of global CO2 emissions, e-mobility is critical to achieving the Paris climate goal. We will also lead by example by switching our entire fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles to non-emitting vehicles.”
The Terra 360 will become available in Europe at the end of 2021, and in 2022 it will launch in the USA, Latin America and the Asia Pacific.
