The Loctite ML-11 lubricant is a light, semi-drying oil type of lubricant that penetrates, lubricates, displaces water, cleans surfaces and provides perfection to metal surfaces to prevent corrosion.

According to the media release by Henkel, Loctite ML-11 is a highly penetrant lubricant, which infiltrates rusted and corroded assemblies while providing a low surface tension (23.4 dynes/cm), allowing it to act as a protective barrier between moisture and metal surfaces.

The ML-11 (high quality oils) provide superior lubrication even under extreme pressure and protect steel surfaces against salt corrosion and rust in high humidity conditions (85 days at 100% relative humidity).

Loctite ML-11 also cleans and degreases light soil for surface plates, chucks, wire and other machined or polished metal surfaces.

The lubricant is applicable on mechanical parts, electrical parts, electric motors, contacts, communication assemblies, tools, dies, fasteners, ignitions, hardware, hinges, springs, machinery, heat treated parts, welds, instruments, machined surfaces, weld rod and wire, castings, tubing, bushings, shafts, gears, conveyors and hoists.

Loctite ML-11 has a characteristic colour and a petroleum-like odour. It has a specific gravity of 0.80 and service temperature of 5 to 35 °C.

As for application instructions, the product should be thoroughly shaken before use. It can be used with or without a straw, and if the straw is to be used, the user is advised to stand the straw up and then spray from a distance of 5-10 cm onto the targeted part/surface.

The product is to be kept in a dry location at a temperature ranging from 10 to 20 °C. It has a shelf life of 24 months and is harmful if inhaled or swallowed.
