Small businesses that are concerned about their obligations and rights in relation to carbon price claims have the opportunity to have their questions answered at an information session run by the Australian Competition Consumer Commission (ACCC) next month.
Dr Michael Schaper, Deputy Chair of the ACCC, will present the one-hour interactive webinar session on carbon price claims on 16 August at 10am. It represents a great opportunity for small businesses to ask the ACCC key questions on carbon price claims and representations.
The ACCC, via a Q & A session, will provide guidance and updated information for small businesses about their rights and obligations.
This will include tips and considerations to bear in mind if your business is thinking about making a claim linked to the carbon price.
Businesses should not mislead consumers about the impact of the carbon price on the price of their goods and services.
