Seven innovative businesses will share in $2.8 million in the latest round of Accelerating Commercialisation grants, designed to foster innovation and encourage commercialisation of novel products, processes or services.

Smart ear tags which improve traceability of livestock and technology that brings WiFi to farms in mobile blackspots and are among the projects which received Government support to launch into the global market.

Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Karen Andrews said the grants have been provided through the Accelerating Commercialisation element of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme.

“The Government is continuing to invest in bold ideas to help industry grow and create new jobs for Australians,” Minister Andrews said.

“These latest recipients of Accelerating Commercialisation grants have potential to increase productivity and create new jobs, but the innovative ideas they are developing also have potential to improve our everyday lives through technology.”
