“Our members are highly innovative local companies which place a strong emphasis on research and investment in skill development whilst competing against the huge multi-national dominating the health sector,” Dr Eutick said yesterday.

“Importantly, we are creating employment for local scientists and researchers and developing export markets for the overall benefit of the Australian economy.”

He said AHMADA and the Ministry of Health will work towards establishing a share in a highly-competitive market for “home grown” health products and devices.

“Importantly, we are creating employment for local scientists and researchers and developing export markets for the overall benefit of the Australian economy,” Mr Eutick added.

“AHMADA has been working collaboratively with the Government on its agenda of regulatory reforms, including the review of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and we now look forward to engaging with Minister Ley on developing initiatives that support our local health manufacturers by reducing red tape and delivering a faster and more equitable route to market for our members.”
