Dematic has expanded its Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) portfolio with the introduction of the new Reach Truck Series (RTS) 120, which the company said is engineered to enhance high-bay manufacturing and warehousing operations through advanced automation technology.

According to Dematic, the RTS 120 combines the proven capabilities of a traditional reach truck with the precision and safety of driverless automation, offering consistent performance for high-bay, single-selective racking environments.

The company said the new AGV is engineered to operate in both new and existing warehouse layouts, allowing manufacturers and logistics operators to integrate automation without major infrastructure changes.

“The robust design of the RTS 120 means it can operate reliably in high-bay environments where precision is critical, all while providing advanced safety features that minimise rack and product damage,” said Tony Raggio, General Manager Sales – Mobile Automation ANZ at Dematic.

“By integrating directly with warehouse management and control systems, the RTS 120 brings reach truck automation into the mainstream, providing businesses with the flexibility to scale and adapt as their operations evolve.”

Available in several models, the RTS 120 offers capacities up to 1,200 kilograms and reach heights of up to 10 metres.

Built on Dematic’s core AGV technology platform, the new range maintains consistency, reliability, and ease of integration across applications.

Manufactured and supported in Australia, the RTS 120 is backed by Dematic’s locally developed software and engineering expertise.

The company said this enables responsive technical support, streamlined upgrades, and alignment with local operational needs.

Dematic said the RTS 120 integrates with its MANAGE+ AGV Warehouse Control Software (WCS), which links with existing warehouse management and control systems to provide end-to-end visibility across automated assets such as palletisers, pallet shuttles, and robotic picking cells, supporting data-driven optimisation and predictive logistics.

“The RTS 120 represents a step change for customers who want to automate reach truck tasks without a complete redesign of their site,” Raggio added. “It delivers tangible benefits like reducing labour requirements, improving safety, and achieving strong ROI, while laying the foundation for resilient and agile logistics.”

Dematic said the addition of the RTS 120 to its AGV range demonstrates its ongoing commitment to developing advanced automation solutions for the manufacturing and logistics industries.
