Gold Coast-based manufacturer PWR Advanced Cooling Technology has been named Queensland Exporter of the Year at the 2025 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards, also taking home the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials category award.
The recognition highlights PWR’s role as a global leader in advanced manufacturing, with its cooling systems used by every Formula 1 team worldwide, as well as in NASCAR, MotoGP, aerospace, and defence industries.
Announcing the winners, the Queensland Government said the awards celebrated the state’s innovation and global competitiveness across a wide range of sectors.
Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates said the results reflected Queensland’s strength in manufacturing and its diverse export capabilities.
“From advanced manufacturing and health to education and technology — these businesses are world-class,” Minister Bates said. “We are backing ambition, and Queensland exporters are leading the way.”
Other winners included Medical Rescue, recognised for its global healthcare and aeromedical services; PAWA Architecture from Cairns, winner of the Regional Exporter category; and Brisbane-based Megaport, which received the Technologies award for its network connectivity solutions.
The Queensland Government said its Fresh Start for Queensland exporters initiative is helping to restore confidence and competitiveness in the state’s export sector.
“This year’s awards attracted a record number of applications across 15 categories,” Minister Bates said, adding that all category winners will now represent Queensland at the Australian Export Awards in Canberra on 26 November.
According to the government, the awards showcase the innovation and excellence driving Queensland’s growing export economy, particularly in advanced manufacturing and emerging industries.
