Automation and robotics company Stealth Technologies has ventured into a partnership with global software-industrial company Honeywell for the market rollout of Autonomous Security Vehicles (ASV) for perimeter security.

According to a press release issued by ASX-listed Strategic Elements, Stealth will work closely with Honeywell to serve customers in the correctional, telecommunications, and defence industries in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries.

As part of the ASV Pilot Deployment program, Stealth and Honewell will establish a supportive engagement for customers to deploy an ASV in their organisations.

ASV pilot deployments are signed to further validate perimeter security use cases, model the return on investment in real-world customer feedback, and explore the most efficient way of introducing robotics and autonomous vehicles.

Honeywell will handle the establishment, engagement, and maintenance of customer relationships— procuring access to customer facilities, processing fees, and entering into and maintaining agreements with customers.

Stealth and Honewell have enabled real-time integration of the ASV with the Honeywell Enterprise Buildings Integrator product, which was thousands of systems deployed globally.

The first-generation Stealth ASV is designed to autonomously navigates pre-defined missions to autonomously test critical Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) and conduct surveillance.

The vehicle is equipped with robotic components that simulate cutting or climbing the secure perimeter fence and has successfully achieved thousands of operational PIDS tests in previous live trials at a correctional facility.
