Australia’s peak organisation for the gift and homewares sector, the Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA), has revealed plans for a major expansion in 2026, introducing Gifted Melbourne 2026.

Under the theme “New Starts Here,” the initiative marks the beginning of a refreshed national platform for discovery, connection, and innovation in Australia’s retail landscape.

AGHA said the event will bring together thousands of buyers, retailers, and suppliers seeking to reset and reenergise their business for the new year.

Gifted Melbourne 2026 will take place from 31 January to 2 February 2026 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

AGHA said the timing is designed to align with the crucial post-Christmas restock and range-reset season, offering retailers a strategic opportunity to source new products and connect with suppliers ahead of the retail year.

By expanding into Melbourne, AGHA emphasised that it builds on more than four decades of experience in delivering industry-led events that help businesses stay competitive and inspired.

The reimagined Melbourne event will take over the existing Gift & Lifestyle Fair, providing a refreshed format that combines AGHA’s national reach with a focus on local design, innovation, and creativity.

AGHA said the fair is expected to deliver the most comprehensive product offering in the industry, covering established brands, emerging labels, and new-season ranges that define the evolving retail landscape.

According to the association, the event is intended to maximise buying opportunities and foster stronger business connections between suppliers and retailers nationwide.

As a not-for-profit organisation, AGHA said it reinvests all proceeds from its events into supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of the industry.

The association highlighted that it continues to provide education, business services, and advocacy for its members, ensuring that independent retailers and wholesalers remain well supported as they navigate a changing market.
