ANCA, a global leader in manufacturing and engineering services, has launched its first Sustainability Strategy 2025–2030, outlining a comprehensive plan to integrate environmental responsibility, innovation, and community initiatives into its operations.
The Melbourne-based company said the strategy reflects a major step in shaping the future of advanced manufacturing.
Chief executive Martin U. Ripple said the roadmap underscores ANCA’s long-term commitment to responsible manufacturing.
“Sustainability is not a finish line – it’s a commitment to evolving how we think, design, and operate,” Ripple said.
“As engineers, we know progress is built on deliberate, smart steps. We’re proud to take this next step in our journey by integrating sustainability into every layer of our business.”
The strategy is anchored in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global framework that aligns corporate climate goals with the Paris Agreement.
ANCA has committed to reducing its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42 per cent and Scope 3 emissions by 25 per cent by 2030, based on 2023 levels.
These targets will be pursued through energy efficiency upgrades, the adoption of renewable energy, and collaboration with supply chain partners.
Ripple said the company’s focus on sustainability is closely tied to its innovation capabilities. “Innovation is our DNA,” he said.
“Our strategy ensures that every breakthrough doesn’t just drive performance – it delivers lasting environmental and social benefit.”
The plan includes the creation of a Sustainability Steering Committee to oversee governance and implementation.
A double materiality assessment has been used to identify areas where ANCA’s business impact and global sustainability priorities intersect, with an emphasis on generating long-term value in manufacturing.
Key priorities include advancing circular economy principles through product redesign for recyclability, waste reduction, and closed-loop systems.
The company also plans to expand graduate programs, increase female representation in leadership, and support STEM initiatives such as robotics and motorsport university teams.
ANCA reaffirmed its commitment to ethical sourcing and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018, alongside measures to transition to low-emission logistics and enforce a new supplier code of conduct.
“In our business, microns matter. That same level of precision guides our sustainability approach,” Ripple said.
“Every reduction in emissions, every recycled part, every skill developed – it all adds up. Together, with our employees, customers, and partners, we’re not just keeping up with change – we’re driving it.”
ANCA said its manufacturing solutions are already designed with sustainability in mind, delivering energy efficiency, waste reduction, and extended product lifespans.
The company said it plans to leverage emerging technologies, including IoT and predictive maintenance, to further enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact over the coming years.
