Advanced manufacturing company Amaero International has announced its decision to cease operations in Australia.

In an ASX announcement on Tuesday, the integrated metal 3D printing developer said its decision reflects its commitment to focusing its executive team on flagship operations in the United States and to prudently manage operating expenses.

As part of the decision, the company will terminate its leases at its facilities in South Australia and Victoria, as well as any ongoing commercial contracts in Australia.

Equipment and inventory held in Australia will shipped to its Tennessee facility or will be sold.

The company will continue to evaluate commercial opportunities in Australia, including adjacency, critical minerals opportunities, and advanced manufacturing for the aerospace & defence, space and energy sectors.

Amaero’s principal place of business address has already been changed from the Victorian premises to the Tennessee facility, the company said in the update.

Amaero is an ASX-listed company that focuses on titanium, refractory, and specialty alloy powder production, as well as advanced manufacturing applications that utilise alloy powder for aerospace and defence, space, medical, and other industries.
