The Australian Government has announced new funding under its Industry Growth Program to help commercialise innovative manufacturing projects, supporting local businesses in advancing health, food, and safety technologies.

Through the program, which provides both advice and matched grant funding to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, the government said it aims to help Australian businesses scale up and strengthen national manufacturing capability in priority areas under the National Reconstruction Fund.

Recent grant recipients include Eclipse Ingredients, awarded $1.9 million to commercialise its fermentation process for producing a human-like protein for use in infant formula and related products.

Lindo Technology Group will also receive $1.9 million to advance clinical trials for its innovative breathing tube, which uses antimicrobial blue light to help prevent infections.

Magnaterra Technologies has been granted $1.6 million to commercialise MRead, a handheld landmine detector designed to improve safety in demining operations.

The Industry Growth Program provides tailored advice and financial support to help businesses commercialise new products, processes, and services.

According to the government, the initiative is designed to foster innovation while reinforcing Australia’s manufacturing capacity across key sectors.
