ClearVue Technologies Limited has announced that its Non-Executive Chairman and Founder, Victor Rosenberg, has stepped down from his role effective immediately, transitioning to the position of Non-Executive Director as part of his retirement plans.
The Perth-based building technology company confirmed that Theresa Smits, currently a Non-Executive Board Director, has been appointed as Interim Chairperson.
In addition, ClearVue Chief Executive Officer Douglas Hunt has joined the board as Managing Director, the company said in an ASX announcement.
Rosenberg said the decision to step aside was driven by the company’s growth stage and the need for dedicated leadership at the board level.
“As I make my retirement plans, the timing is right to pass the responsibilities of the Board Chairman position to someone who can give the role their full attention,” he said.
“ClearVue is at a critical defining moment in its global commercialisation path… We have the correct executive leadership team in place to take ClearVue into the future and now we must ensure our Board of Directors is fully aligned to seamlessly support the exciting path that lies ahead.”
He added that he would remain involved as a director until November to ensure a smooth transition. “It has been a privilege to serve in the Non-Executive Chairperson role, and I look forward to watching as our new board takes the company toward a fruitful global commercialization path.”
Hunt acknowledged Rosenberg’s contribution to ClearVue’s development, particularly in expanding its product line and advancing research and development.
“I appreciate his belief in myself and the technical team over the last years which was pivotal in bringing the company to its current position,” he said.
“My commitment to our executive leadership, Board and shareholders is to good commercial business practices and a resolute commitment to operational transparency as we strive to improve shareholder value.”
Smits said she was honoured to take on the interim role. “In this role, I’ll approach every decision through a shareholder’s lens, with a focus on delivering the commercial outcomes ClearVue needs to succeed,” she said.
