HamiltonJet has partnered with global digital solutions provider Fortude to implement Fortest, an automated regression testing tool, as part of its ongoing digital transformation and shift to the Infor M3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
The New Zealand-based manufacturer of waterjet propulsion systems is adopting Fortest to accelerate and streamline ERP testing processes across key areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and aftermarket services.
The implementation aims to reduce reliance on manual testing and enable faster adoption of Infor’s continuous delivery updates, Fortitude said in a media release.
According to HamiltonJet ERP Manager Dominic Feran, the company required a more scalable and efficient testing framework to meet the demands of frequent ERP updates.
“We want to reduce our reliance on manual testing while maintaining confidence during every M3 release,” Feran said.
“With Fortest, we will be able to cut down testing time, expand our coverage to include complex integrations, and free up our business users to focus on higher-value initiatives.”
Fortest provides automated end-to-end regression testing capabilities and is designed to be compatible with Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and other ERP and integrated applications.
The tool includes prebuilt test libraries for Infor M3 modules and allows business users to build and manage test cases without the need for technical coding skills. It also supports intelligent change impact analysis to prioritise testing activities efficiently.
Cameron Greening, Chief Revenue Officer – ANZ at Fortude, said the solution is particularly relevant for manufacturing companies like HamiltonJet that operate in dynamic environments and require robust, frequent ERP updates.
“Automating regression testing is essential for businesses like HamiltonJet that are constantly evolving and rely on frequent ERP updates to support global operations,” Greening said.
“Ensuring smooth updates and maintaining seamless operations for a global customer base requires agility, and that’s exactly where Fortest comes in.”
Fortest is used across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, food and beverage, fashion, distribution, chemicals, and field services.
