A major online briefing is set for Friday, 13 February 2026, as the Additive Manufacturing CRC (AMCRC) hosts a “Webinar: Core Project Funding Round” aimed at industry researchers and innovators.

Organisers said the webinar comes on the heels of AMCRC’s launch of its first ‘Core Project’ funding round under a $57.5 million Collaborative Funding Program designed to accelerate advanced manufacturing research and development across Australia.

The funding initiative targets industry-led, multi-year R&D projects in additive manufacturing – commonly known as 3D printing – and offers matched funding from $250,000 up to several million dollars to successful applicants.

Organisers say the event will cover key aspects of the funding round, including an overview of AMCRC’s broader Collaborative Funding Program, the assessment and application process, and critical dates for prospective applicants.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to have their questions answered by programme representatives.

The Core Project funding round is part of a national effort to strengthen Australia’s advanced manufacturing capability, support commercialisation and scale-up of new technologies, and build long-lasting industry-research partnerships.

Leaders in the sector say additive manufacturing technologies are increasingly vital for helping local businesses remain competitive and sustainable in global markets.

Participation in the webinar requires registration through the event platform, with Microsoft Teams access information distributed via email to confirmed attendees. Organisers note that no refunds are available for registrations once confirmed.

The virtual session will run from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST  and will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.
