Konica Minolta Australia, in collaboration with global mobile robotics company Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), is set to unveil two new autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at CeMAT Australia 2025, which will be held from 22 to 24 July at The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park.

The MiR MC250 Mobile Cobot and the MiR1200 Pallet Jack will make their official Australian debut at stand T18, where attendees will be able to see the systems in action and explore how artificial intelligence is being used to improve automation in logistics and manufacturing environments.

Manglesh Jain, Robotics Business Manager at Konica Minolta Australia, said the launch is a milestone for mobile robotics in the country.

“We’re excited to bring the MiR MC250 and MiR1200 Pallet Jack to Australian shores for the first time. These solutions offer practical automation that can be quickly integrated into real-world operations. CeMAT is the perfect opportunity for local businesses to see their potential firsthand,” Jain said.

The MiR MC250 Mobile Cobot combines an AMR with a Universal Robots arm, enabling collaborative, mobile automation that can be flexibly deployed across tasks.

It includes built-in safety features for close human interaction, fast redeployment, and is well-suited for compact production areas and precision applications such as machine tending and quality inspection.

Meanwhile, the MiR1200 Pallet Jack is designed for high-speed and high-accuracy pallet transport, featuring AI-based perception for fast and reliable pallet detection.

The system supports 24/7 operations through its high-capacity battery and fast charging, and it complies with ISO 3691-4 safety standards, with a payload capacity of up to 1,200 kilograms.

Masayuki Mase, Channel Development Manager at Teradyne Robotics, the parent company of MiR, said the new robots reflect the latest advances in intralogistics automation.

“Both robots represent a new generation of intralogistics automation. We’re proud to launch them in Australia in partnership with Konica Minolta and show how they can drive immediate impact for Australian businesses,” Mase said.

Also on display will be the MiR1350 with Shelf Lift, a heavy-duty AMR capable of transporting payloads of up to 1,350 kilograms.

Konica Minolta said this model will highlight the broader capabilities of MiR’s product lineup, all backed by local support and integration expertise.

A live product launch event will take place on Wednesday, 23 July at 10:30 am AEST at stand T18. Daily demonstration sessions will also be held at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm, giving attendees opportunities to view the new robots and engage with automation experts.

Personalised one-on-one demonstrations can be booked via the Konica Minolta website. More information is available at: www.konicaminolta.com.au/promotions/cemat-2025.
