ClearVue Technologies has announced that manufacturing of its Gen3 Solar Vision Glass has reached a key milestone, with the first production-quality units now prepared for submission for official certification.

The update was released through a LinkedIn announcement from the company.

According to ClearVue, the new technology is designed to turn passive insulated glass units into active, renewable-energy-generating panels while maintaining transparent glazing.

The company said the Gen3 iteration aims to maximise natural light and improve thermal performance.

ClearVue reported that its R&D team has completed the initial manufacturing of the Gen3 units, with Head of R&D Christopher Cole and Chief Operating Officer Tao Zhang overseeing the assembly process.

The company said the team is ensuring each unit meets its internal standards as part of the steps toward formal certification.

The announcement highlighted flash testing as an important part of the manufacturing process conducted before units are shipped.

ClearVue said the procedure confirms that solar cells are performing within expected parameters.

It added that prototypes of the Gen3 technology have already undergone performance testing, with results indicating the new glass is expected to deliver 66 per cent more energy generation and improved manufacturing efficiencies.

ClearVue also invited shareholders and guests to view a Gen3 Vision Glass unit at its upcoming Annual General Meeting on 28 November at the company’s showroom in Perth.

Video clips of the technology are expected to be released following the event, the company said.
