SugarCRM has announced a new manufacturing-focused partnership with Syspro, unveiling a combined CRM and ERP offering aimed at giving manufacturers and distributors a more connected sales-to-shop floor view.
According to SugarCRM, the new solution, called Sugar for Syspro, integrates SugarCRM’s sales automation platform with Syspro’s ERP system for manufacturing and distribution.
In a news release, the companies said the integration is designed to address the complexity of manufacturing sales cycles, configured products and long-term customer relationships.
“Our customers want technology partners who understand their world and work together on their behalf,” said Johan Du Toit, senior vice president of strategic growth at Syspro.
“By combining SugarCRM’s deep revenue intelligence with Syspro’s purpose-built operational backbone, customers will get clarity, speed and a more connected way to grow.”
SugarCRM said the standardised integration is intended to support faster deployment and time-to-value, providing manufacturers with a unified system of record across operational and revenue functions while reducing the need for bespoke integration work.
“Manufacturers and distributors must quickly adapt to changing customer needs, product availability and market shifts,” said Andrew White, senior vice president of global partnerships at SugarCRM.
“Siloed systems and disconnected data slow business and negatively impact customer experience. With Sugar for Syspro, sales teams now spend their time proactively, where it matters most.”
Industry analyst Predrag Jakovljevic, principal analyst at Technology Evaluation Centers, said ERP–CRM integration has historically been challenging in manufacturing due to highly configured products and the need to link sales commitments directly to production.
“Delivering a true out-of-the-box ERP-CRM connection synchronises customer-facing processes with what is actually happening on the shop floor and eliminates much of the integration ‘plumbing’ that has traditionally slowed value realisation,” he said.
SugarCRM noted that the partnership forms part of Syspro’s broader ecosystem strategy, supported by its Versori-powered integration platform, and also underpins plans for a global Syspro marketplace scheduled to launch in 2026.
The companies said manufacturers and distributors will be able to view the new solution during a joint webinar on 20 January.
