New Holland’s DuraVee wheel rake range has officially earned Australian Made certification, marking nearly three decades of local manufacturing in Cowra.
The DuraVee and DuraVee Plus models now carry the Australian Made logo, signaling to farmers that the machines are designed and built in Australia, as revealed in a news release.
The company said the rakes continue the legacy of the original K-Line Agriculture Delta and Delta Hay Pro models, which CNH acquired in 2019 before rebranding them under the DuraVee name in 2022.
CNH Product Manager Hay & Forage, Sune Nielsen, said the DuraVee’s simple “steel and wheels” construction ensures reliability for Australian farmers.
“With no electronics and minimal moving parts, there is very little to go wrong,” Nielsen said. “The rakes are robustly built from Australian steel with no Power Take-Off (PTO) required. Both the DuraVee’s ground-drive contact reels and the DuraVee Plus’ crop-contact reels use simple, readily available components, making servicing and maintenance easy.”
The DuraVee range is designed for a wide range of operations, from small hobby farms and dairy paddocks to broadacre and hay-contractor operations.
Optional features such as hydraulic fold adjustments and splitter kits allow operators to modify rake width on the move and improve windrow quality.
Nielsen said the machines are also ideal for drought conditions, when farmers turn to hay production only as needed.
“It’s built at Cowra, it’s robust, and it’s easy to operate and maintain,” Nielsen said. “DuraVee now carries the Australian Made sticker on the machine, letting farmers know they’re backing a rake that’s designed and built in Australia, for our conditions,” he said.
Farmers interested in the DuraVee range are advised to contact their local New Holland dealer for more information.
