Manufacturing Queensland has invited manufacturers from the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay to attend its first networking event for the year, aimed at supporting industry connections and sharing information about upcoming programs and opportunities.

According to Manufacturing Queensland, the event will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, 5 February at Hip Hops Brewers in Brendale, and will bring together local manufacturers for an evening of networking, complimentary food and drinks, and updates relevant to the regional manufacturing sector.

The organisation said the event will include the launch of the Sunshine Coast-based Queensland Manufacturing Hub’s 2026 capability and workforce programs, which are designed to support business development and skills growth across the industry.

Attendees will also receive an update on the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grant, with information on current funding opportunities.

Manufacturing Queensland said representatives from the City of Moreton Bay will introduce the Manufacturers of Excellence program, including opportunities for local businesses to attend Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW) 2026.

The event will also outline how manufacturers can join the Queensland Manufacturing Hubs AMW Delegation.

Manufacturing Queensland described Australian Manufacturing Week as the country’s premier event for the manufacturing industry and noted that the 2026 edition will be hosted in Brisbane in May.

The Queensland Manufacturing Hub Program is expected to offer a range of additional events to complement participation in AMW.

The organisation said the networking session is intended to provide a platform for manufacturers to exchange insights, build industry relationships and learn about available programs and initiatives supporting the sector across Queensland.
