Pre-registration has opened for the 2026 Shanghai International Metal Recycling Expo set for July 8 to 10.
The upcoming event aims to highlight critical trends that are shaping the recycled metals sector, including supply chain integration, cross-industry partnerships, and technological advancements.
According to the event’s website, visitors can expect to see a wide range of advanced technologies and equipment, in-depth exchanges and discussions among industry professionals, trade associations, research organisations and innovative businesses.
In an announcement this week, event organiser RX China said the expo aims to deepen its strategic positioning by targeting Tier-1 global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), technology startups in AI-powered sorting and digital tracking systems, and research pioneers in advanced metal recovery techniques.
“The aim is to elevate the expo beyond transactional matchmaking toward co-creation, supporting the industry’s shift to higher-yield, lower-emission, and digitally enabled recycling paradigms,” the organiser said.
Running parallel to the exhibition is a structured knowledge program, with the centrepiece being the 2026 International Forum on Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling and Sustainable Development.
The forum will tackle critical industry challenges, such as policy harmonisation, transboundary trade frameworks, lifecycle carbon accounting, and innovations in sorting, impurity removal, and alloy property retention, RX China said.
International participation is expected to be strong, with experts from industry associations, leading companies, and research institutions from across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East invited to contribute their expertise.
The trade show will run alongside four established events: the 21st Aluminium China, Magnesium China 2026, Copper China 2026, and Lightweight Asia 2026.
Together, these five shows will cover 60,000 sqm, feature over 650 international exhibitors, and attract more than 35,000 professional visitors, including over 4,000 international delegates from over 100 countries.
Visitors who register before June 30 will receive free admission. To register, click here.
