Swisslog Australia and New Zealand is set to spotlight its cutting-edge, temperature-controlled warehouse automation solutions at CeMAT 2025 in Sydney, running from 22 to 24 July.

Appearing at Stand A9, the intralogistics leader will present its full suite of end-to-end automation technologies, with a particular focus on cold storage and intelligent warehouse software, as revealed in a news release.

The company’s showcase will include systems designed for ambient, chilled, and deep-freeze environments, drawing on Swisslog’s experience with over 250 deep-freeze automation projects globally.

These solutions are tailored to improve compliance, energy efficiency, and safety in traditionally harsh working environments.

“Low temperatures make refrigerated warehouses harsh environments, where it is recommended that humans should spend minimal time to avoid hypothermia and other health and safety risks,” said Dan Ulmamei, managing director of Swisslog Australia and New Zealand.

“Using automation to do tasks in freezer areas removes workers from these harsh environments, freeing them up to work in other, more suitable areas.”

Among the technologies on display will be Swisslog’s high-density PowerStore pallet shuttle system, the globally recognised AutoStore grid-based ASRS, and its proprietary SynQ warehouse management software.

Live demonstrations will offer visitors insight into how these technologies work together to enhance warehouse operations.

“An automated high-bay chilled warehouse can reduce the energy load by as much as 20% compared with conventional more labour-intensive alternatives,” Ulmamei added.

“Not only does it reduce the power bill, but it typically allows for four times more storage within the same building footprint, so you are maximising your use of the available space.”

Swisslog says it provides a comprehensive automation approach, integrating technologies that span the entire intralogistics process—from receiving and storing to retrieving and dispatching goods.

“Swisslog has the global experience, local knowledge, and comprehensive warehouse automation ranges to tailor end-to-end solutions to meet the diverse needs of industries looking to utilise automation to boost efficiency and productivity,” Ulmamei said.

“Rather than a piecemeal approach involving multiple suppliers, Swisslog can be a comprehensive warehouse automation partner that takes a holistic approach.”

Visitors to CeMAT will also see firsthand how Swisslog’s SynQ software supports real-time warehouse visualisation and performance optimisation. Designed to function as a WMS, WES, and WCS, SynQ enables faster access to high-rotation items and efficient troubleshooting.

“We encourage logistics industry professionals at CeMAT to visit Swisslog at Stand A9 for live demonstrations that show how intelligent, end-to-end automation solutions can unlock greater warehouse efficiency, productivity, and sustainability,” said Ulmamei.

For those unable to attend the event, Swisslog offers site visits to several advanced automated warehouse facilities operating across Australia and New Zealand.
