The Arnott’s Group has marked its 160th anniversary on 5 September by raising more than $360,000 for charity at its Gala event in Sydney.

The company said the funds, collected through raffles, pledges and auctions, including two gold-coated Tim Tam packs sold for $10,000 each, will enable 240 families to attend Camp Quality’s Family Getaway program.

The initiative provides children facing cancer and their families with opportunities to rest and reconnect, the company said in a news release.

Arnott’s Group CEO George Zoghbi said the milestone was both a celebration and a reminder of the company’s commitment to community.

“We’re incredibly proud of the role our brands have played in shaping Australian life over the past 160 years,” Zoghbi said.

“[The event] was a reflection of that enduring relationship, and it was inspiring to see the generosity of our partners, suppliers and employees in supporting Camp Quality.”

The Arnott’s Foundation Chairman Matt Palmer said supporting families in need has long been a priority. “For more than 20 years, The Arnott’s Foundation has been at the heart of our business – empowering our people to give back and support those who need it most,” he said.

Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas said the partnership has raised more than $5.6 million over two decades.

“The funds raised from this gala will allow Camp Quality to help even more families with young children in desperate need of a break from cancer,” Thomas said.

The Arnott’s Group said the Gala, held at Sydney Town Hall, drew more than 500 guests and was supported by sponsors including The Pratt Foundation, Amazon, Cargill, Selpak and IVE Group.
