The “Queensland, Australia. Endless Opportunities” campaign will seek to promote the State as a major global investment destination and exporter of choice and highlight its advantages in business, trade and investment spectrum.

“Queensland’s unique advantages and capabilities across the business, trade and investment spectrum are perfectly summed up with the phrase Endless Opportunities. We promised Queenslanders at the election that we would grow the four pillars of the economy and this campaign will play a vital part in showcasing what Queensland has to offer to the world,” Premier Campbell Newman said in a joint statement with Treasurer and Minister for Trade, the Honourable Tim Nicholls.

“From day one, we set about turning around the former Labor Government’s culture of actively promoting red tape, to focusing on actively reducing it; cutting the cost of doing business and maintaining Queensland’s competitive tax advantages. Now is the time for the world to hear even more about the Endless Opportunities that exist for them in Queensland.”

The new campaign follows last year’s Trade and Investment Queensland review which recommended development of a unified Queensland brand for use in key overseas markets.

“We’re committed to maximising Queensland’s export and investment potential, concentrating on getting government ‘out of the way’, so business can get on with running their enterprises and creating jobs. Queensland’s strengths are abundant in agriculture, resources, construction and tourism, and we offer unrivalled expertise, innovative products and solutions as well as strategic advantage through our location and climate, Treasurer Tim Nicholls said.

“Our extensive trade and investment advantages include an enviable position as the nation’s gateway to the world’s fastest growing markets in the Asia Pacific, world class transport infrastructure, natural wonders and globally recognised international education opportunities. For lifestyle, for prosperity, for Endless Opportunities, we want the world to make Queensland its first choice.”
