The Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA) has elevated Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group (MTDG) to Principal Member status, expanding its leadership role within the global manufacturing-focused organisation and reinforcing its emphasis on sustainable additive manufacturing.

AMGTA said the move reflects MTDG’s sustained leadership and strategic alignment with efforts to advance resilient and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices worldwide.

In a news release, the association noted that Principal Membership is reserved for organisations expected to play a more active role in shaping AMGTA’s governance, collaboration initiatives, and long-term industry direction.

The appointment also brings Dean Bartles to the AMGTA Board of Directors, effective 1 February 2026.

According to Sherri Monroe, the addition strengthens the organisation’s perspective on how additive technologies fit within broader industrial manufacturing systems.

“Additive manufacturing does not operate in isolation,” Monroe said, adding that Bartles’ experience across advanced manufacturing and workforce development will help guide sustainability discussions that remain grounded in industrial realities.

“AMGTA’s mission sits at the intersection of innovation and responsibility,” said Brian Neff. He noted that expanding Board expertise supports the group’s efforts to promote additive manufacturing as a tool for improving economic and resource efficiency across sectors including aerospace, medical, and industrial production.

Bartles said he is honored to join the Board and contribute to advancing sustainable and economically viable manufacturing practices through additive technology adoption.
