ANU’s Professor Timothy Senden appointed to ANSTO Board

Professor Timothy Senden has been appointed to the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) Board for a three-year term.

His appointment aims to enhance the expertise of the existing board and bolster ANSTO’s role as Australia’s premier nuclear science centre, the government announced in a media release.

Professor Senden brings a wealth of experience to the role, being a distinguished international nuclear physicist and currently serving as the Director of the Research School of Physics at the Australian National University (ANU).

With a diverse academic background including positions at prestigious institutions such as the College de France in Paris and the University of New South Wales in Canberra, Professor Senden is well-equipped to contribute to ANSTO’s strategic direction.

Having earned his PhD in Atomic Force Microscopy from the Research School of Physics and Engineering in 1993, Professor Senden’s expertise will be instrumental in guiding ANSTO’s research and development initiatives.

Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic extended congratulations to Professor Timothy Senden for his appointment to the ANSTO Board.
