With little more than 2 weeks remaining until the annual Family Business Day (19th September), Family Business Australia (FBA) and the Australian Made Campaign are calling on businesses around the country to promote their heritage and contribute to their local communities.

“More than two thirds of all Australian businesses are family businesses, and many of those make and grow the products they sell in Australia, keeping local farms and manufacturing plants in business and local people in jobs,” reads the press release by Australian Made.

“Family farmers and manufacturers are encouraged to use the hash tags #madebyourfamily and #grownbyourfamily to help promote their products on social media over the next couple of weeks.”

Products made and grown locally by family businesses are easily recognisable by the FBA and Australian Made, Australian Grown kangaroo logos. The Australian Made Campaign would like to remind consumers to look for these logos on products in-store, find the hashtags online or visit www.fambiz.org.au and www.australianmade.com.au.
