Fischer Plastic Products Pty Ltd has announced the celebration of its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of Australian manufacturing at its Mulgrave facility in Victoria.

The company said the milestone reflects its long-standing commitment to locally designed and manufactured storage and organisational products across Australia and New Zealand.

Its current product portfolio ranges from Stor-Pak and Viro-Pak bins used in warehouses and factories to Mesh-Pak and Visi-Pak drawer systems relied on by tradespeople and technicians.

The company said its products are also widely used in hospitals, clinics, schools, aged-care facilities, retail environments and home workshops. Fischer Plastic Products noted it has increasingly incorporated recycled materials and sustainable manufacturing methods to support a circular economy.

The company emphasised that maintaining design, tooling and production in Australia for 60 years has supported skilled employment and strengthened domestic supply chains.

Managing Director Janet Ford said Fischer Plastic Products’ resilience is rooted in its commitment to Australian manufacturing. “We are immensely proud of our 60-year journey,” Ford said. “Through the many economic ups and downs over the decades, our commitment to local production and our people has never wavered.”

Ford added that the company’s longevity is tied to its principles. “It’s this resilience — built on adaptability, integrity, and community — that has carried Fischer through every challenge,” she said.

“To our loyal distributors, retailers, and partners who have stood beside us through the decades — thank you. Your belief in Australian manufacturing and your ongoing support have been the cornerstone of Fischer’s success.”

Fischer Plastic Products said it is now focused on strengthening its presence in mainstream retail and commercial sectors while supporting startups and emerging markets through its in-house design, tooling and injection moulding capabilities.

The company said this approach ensures its Australian-made products remain accessible to industries, workplaces and households nationwide.

To mark its anniversary, Fischer Plastic Products stated is also expanding its digital engagement through an AI-driven website and social media platforms, which the company said will further highlight its manufacturing processes, workforce and commitment to Australian-made quality.
