Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for tenancy at the Central Coast Food Manufacturing Innovation Hub, a new facility designed to boost manufacturing growth and collaboration across the region’s food and beverage sector.

Backed by a $17.14 million investment, the Hub is being led by Central Coast Industry Connect (CCIC) with support from the Australian Government, the University of Newcastle, Central Coast Council and Regional Development Australia Central Coast.

The facility is scheduled to open in March 2026 and aims to provide food and beverage manufacturers with access to advanced equipment, shared infrastructure and tailored business support.

“The Hub has been a long-time vision for the Central Coast and it’s exciting to see it becoming a reality,” said Frank Sammut, Executive Director of CCIC.

“It will amplify the region’s thriving food and beverage manufacturing sector and lay the foundations for long-term economic growth.”

Located in Ourimbah, within the region’s $2 billion food and beverage industry, the Hub will offer eight production-ready tenancy lots equipped with pilot manufacturing facilities.

CCIC said these spaces are intended to help small and medium-sized manufacturers scale production, refine processes and develop new products, while keeping operational costs manageable through shared resources.

Through the Manufacturing Advancement Centre, tenants will also have access to mentoring, technical guidance and commercial advice, including support in compliance, sustainability and export readiness.

According to CCIC, the Hub will serve as a collaborative ecosystem bringing together manufacturers, researchers, educators and service providers to foster innovation across product development, packaging, supply chains and sustainability.

“With its combination of advanced facilities, tailored programs and a strong culture of collaboration, the Food Manufacturing Innovation Hub is set to transform how our region’s food and beverage sector operates,” Sammut said.

“We are seeking high-potential businesses who share our vision and are ready to scale quickly to reach new markets.”

Construction of the facility is expected to be completed by January 2026, ahead of the official opening two months later.

Eligible food and beverage manufacturers are encouraged to submit their EOIs to secure one of the limited spaces available.
