DP World and Balco Australia have signed a new multi-year logistics agreement aimed at supporting the movement of Australian forage products from regional production sites to international markets.
Under the agreement, DP World will provide Balco with integrated road transport, equipment management and supply chain coordination services. The logistics provider will support the movement of more than 10,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) annually through dedicated transport and integrated logistics services, according to DP World.
The agreement will also include investment in specialised transport assets and dedicated account management as Balco expands its export operations.
Nicolaj Noes, Executive Vice President, Oceania at DP World, said the agreement would build on the companies’ existing relationship.
“By combining our integrated ports, transport and logistics capabilities, we’re helping Balco move exports more efficiently from regional Australia to global markets,” Noes said.
DP World said the partnership would use its integrated logistics network across Australia to coordinate the movement of Balco’s products from regional production sites through export gateways.
Balco Australia General Manager, Logistic & Fulfillment, Linda Xu, said supply chain performance was important to the company’s ability to serve international customers.
“A stable, efficient and resilient supply chain is fundamental to Balco’s ability to serve global customers and continue expanding across international markets,” Xu said.
She said DP World’s logistics network and specialised transport capabilities aligned with Balco’s plans to strengthen its supply chain and support international growth.
DP World said the agreement also reinforced its commitment to supporting Australian agricultural exports and connecting regional producers with international markets.
