Electro Optic Systems (EOS) recently secured an additional contract to deliver its remote weapon systems (RWS) to a Western European government.

Clinched by the company’s Defence Systems business, the $25 million contract follows an earlier contract announced in June 2023 and includes the supply of spares, training and related services.

The latest contract envisages supply during 2024 under agreed milestones and other customary terms. The contract is subject to approval by the Australian government.

As part of the project, EOS plans to draw upon a support network and supply chain consisting of over 100 suppliers from across Australia and abroad.

According to EOS, its RWS product portfolio is designed to deliver the highest firepower for the lowest weight, delivering superior accuracy and reliability compared to competitor systems.

Over 2,500 units have been sold to serve several military services in Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East and South-east Australia.
