Australian outdoor furniture manufacturer Felton Industries has unveiled its Tow & Fold mobile grandstand range, highlighting its manufacturing capability in developing portable spectator seating designed for councils, schools, and event organisers across the country.
In a news release, the company said the Tow & Fold system is engineered as a high-capacity mobile seating solution that can transform from a towable trailer into a nine-tier grandstand seating up to 200 spectators.
Felton product marketing manager Simon Clayton said the new product reflects demand for flexible infrastructure supporting community sport and large-scale events.
“Tow & Fold redefines what portable grandstands can be. Felton Industries has created a solution that lets councils, schools, and event operators set up professional, high-capacity seating with minimal labour and maximum efficiency,” Clayton said.
“Many organisations are currently relying on labour-intensive temporary scaffolding that must be erected and dismantled for each event. Tow & Fold dramatically reduces setup time, labour costs, and logistical complexity, while delivering a safe and professional spectator experience.”
The 12-metre-wide, nine-tier configuration is designed to provide elevated sightlines while maintaining a compact seating footprint.
The company said the structure is suited to regional councils, private schools, hire companies, and sporting complexes seeking multi-purpose or overflow seating capacity.
Constructed from heavy-duty steel and premium aluminium, the grandstand is engineered to meet Australian structural standards, with enclosed tiers, non-slip surfaces, and certification intended to assist users in meeting safety and insurance requirements.
Clayton said the design supports long-term asset value through durability and low maintenance requirements.
“It’s an investment that pays for itself through efficiency, longevity, and increased event capacity,” he said.
The unit is towable, forklift-ready, and designed to be relocated between venues such as ovals, parks, and sporting facilities. When folded, the grandstand compresses into a compact format for storage and protection from weather exposure, while multiple units can be positioned together for larger events.
The Tow & Fold range is targeted at regional councils hosting community sport and festivals, educational institutions managing assemblies and fixtures, event and hire operators, and facilities requiring temporary or secondary-field seating.
