Kimberly-Clark has launched a limited-edition pink version of its VIVA paper towels, with proceeds supporting McGrath Cancer Care Nurses through a summer fundraising campaign.
From early December through January, pink VIVA 3-packs will be available at major retailers nationwide. Kimberly-Clark said it will donate 10 cents from every pack sold to the McGrath Foundation, with the campaign aiming to raise $100,000.
According to the company, the initiative is intended to highlight the role of specialist cancer care nurses in supporting individuals and families affected by cancer across Australia.
Kimberly-Clark said the VIVA paper towels are manufactured at its Millicent facility in South Australia. Mill Manager Adam said employees were supportive of the campaign’s purpose.
“Our team is proud to see the products we make here every day helping fund such an important cause,” he said.
“Cancer touches every community in some way, and in regional towns like ours, having access to specialised healthcare is vital.”
The McGrath Foundation said funds raised through partnerships such as this help support its cancer nursing services, which are provided at no cost to patients.
McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director Tracy Bevan said, “It’s thanks to partnerships like these that the McGrath Foundation is able to provide world leading cancer nursing services to people and their families experiencing cancer.”
Kimberly-Clark noted that McGrath Cancer Care Nurses work alongside other healthcare providers, offering clinical, psychosocial and emotional support to people with any type of cancer throughout their treatment.
McGrath Breast Care Nurse Dana Mulraney said the work is both professional and personal. “Supporting people through the challenges of cancer care is both rewarding and deeply personal,” she said, adding that keeping treatment close to home can make a significant difference for patients and communities.
