Manufacturing Queensland is promoting an accredited training program aimed at strengthening digital skills within the manufacturing sector.

The organisation said the Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) course is designed to help participants develop practical, industry-ready capabilities for modern production environments.

The four-day, face-to-face program, delivered over two to three weeks, uses Autodesk Inventor software to train participants in generating 2D and 3D code files for CNC machines.

According to Manufacturing Queensland, the training will enable manufacturers to improve precision, reduce production errors, streamline processes, and apply skills across aerospace, defence, automotive, and general engineering sectors.

The course is delivered by Outsource Institute, an accredited Registered Training Organisation, and includes two nationally recognised units.

It is intended for tradespeople, apprentices, and others seeking to build a career in advanced manufacturing, with prerequisite units required prior to enrolment.

Program details include:

  • Dates: 21–22 April and 5–6 May 2026
  • Time: 8:30am – 3:00pm
  • Location: MSQ Centre of Excellence, 73 Nagel Street, Oakhurst Qld 4650

Manufacturing Queensland has encouraged interested individuals to register online for the program, noting its relevance to ongoing skills development in the state’s manufacturing sector.
