Australia’s largest independent aerospace composite company Quickstep Holdings is providing Lockheed Martin C-130J trailing edge flap supplies as part of a new five-year follow-on contract.

Quickstep’s current C-130J contract with the defence contracting giant, valued at $86.5 million, is slated to complete by December 2024.

The contract has a maximum anticipated value of $96 million. Work will be performed at Quickstep’s Bankstown facility.

Negotiations for the follow-on agreement have been ongoing over the last several months and have resulted in a signed model contract where all terms and conditions have been approved.

In an ASX announcement on Tuesday, Quickstep said the formal award will be announced by the end of the year.

“Once the formal award is made later this year we anticipate firm order cover through 2029 on this important program. We are delighted that our long-term partnership with Lockheed Martin continues to strengthen and honoured that they place their ongoing trust in Quickstep’s engineering, quality and manufacturing expertise,” said Mark Burgess, managing director of Quickstep.
