Global manufacturing company Rockwell Automation has released its latest snapshot of the company’s commitment to incorporating sustainability across its operations – from design and sourcing to manufacturing and final delivery.

According to the company’s 2025 Sustainability Report, sustainability is no longer separate from its core production strategy.

By scaling digital and AI solutions, the company said it is enabling manufacturers to optimise their energy and emissions management while improving productivity and quality.

“As both a manufacturer and a trusted partner to industrial companies around the world, Rockwell is uniquely positioned to lead the transformation of operations through innovation and sustainability,” said Blake Moret, chairman and CEO at Rockwell Automation.

“Our technologies help customers reduce energy use, minimise waste, and lower emissions while improving productivity and quality. From smart machines and digital twins to advanced motion control and cybersecurity, our solutions are enabling manufacturers to meet their sustainability goals without compromising performance,” Moret added.

The company’s strategy is built around three core focus areas: Environment, Social, and Governance. In the environmental pillar, Rockwell is advancing energy and emissions management while designing products specifically for sustainability.

This approach extends to its governance, where cybersecurity and product safety are prioritised as part of its ethical leadership and enterprise risk management.

These efforts are designed to deliver measurable results across three distinct stakeholder groups. For “sustainable customers,” Rockwell provides the scalable, intelligent solutions required to help them meet their own environmental targets.

Internally, the “sustainable company” initiative focuses on making Rockwell’s own operations and culture safer and more efficient. Finally, through “sustainable communities,” the company invests in the regions where its employees live and work, focusing on education and workforce development.

The report also highlighted Rockwell’s investment in adaptation and resilience to climate-proof its supply chains and setting “science-based targets” to help deliver on emissions reductions.

“These efforts are not about checking boxes. They’re about building a more resilient business and creating long-term value,” said Emmanuel Guilhamon, vice president for sustainability at Rockwell Automation. “Sustainability is a growth strategy, and this report is our way of showing how that strategy comes to life.”
