The Queensland Government has opened the first round of the Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grants Program (TQMGP), offering $12.5 million in matched funding to support the state’s manufacturing sector.

The program is part of a broader $79.1 million, three-year initiative aimed at fostering innovation, advanced technology adoption, and job creation in Queensland.

In a news release, Business Queensland said Round 1 of the TQMGP allows eligible Queensland-based manufacturers to apply for grants ranging from $100,000 to $1.5 million.

Funding is available for projects that facilitate export opportunities, bring manufacturing activity back to Queensland from interstate or overseas, improve productivity and competitiveness, or stimulate private sector investment and generate jobs.

Applications for Round 1 close at 1pm on Thursday, 16 April 2026, and late submissions will not be accepted.

Applicants are encouraged to contact their local Queensland Manufacturing Hub or call the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development before applying.

Successful applicants will be required to execute a grant agreement with the Queensland Government, which may include security arrangements.

Full program guidelines and a sample grant agreement are available online.

Further information and enquiries can be directed to manufacturing@nrmmrrd.qld.gov.au or through local Manufacturing Hub offices.
