Australian manufacturer and printer, AFI Branding, has launched a range of fabric face masks for consumers. The range is called #heroeswearmasks – a range of bright, colourful and budget-friendly washable fabric face masks – www.heroeswearmasks.com.au.

It’s the first time AFI Branding, which is based in Carrum Downs, Victoria has made and sold products directly to consumers. AFI Branding typically works with the retail, event and exhibition industry.

Glenn Watson, Managing Director, says of the new business venture, “Since COVID-19 hit, we’ve been working with our clients and partners to see how we can adapt our offering. In recent weeks, we’ve designed and installed perspex counter screens in pharmacies and retail and rolled-out a range of hand sanitising units on a national scale.”

“At the core of what we do at AFI is fabric printing so it seemed a natural solution to start creating face masks. We had a sewing team with time on their hands so we thought, why not? It’s been a fun and positive process coming up with the designs and seeing our team come together.” Glenn Watson, Managing Director, AFI Branding.

The masks come in packs of 4 and are being sold directly to the public via the website with branded and bespoke designs are available for wholesale orders. The masks are made of high grade, warp knit, 200gsm polyester fabric which is hard-wearing and machine washable. The masks are printed using the dye sublimation method that utilises water based ink. The fabric is then digitally cut on a grand format cutter. Each mask is then sewn by AFI’s sewing team and packaged ready for despatch. The entire production process from design through to despatch happens at AFI’s dedicated factory in Carrum Downs, Victoria.
