Although we carry numerous diamond engagement rings in store to select from, we usually find that our clients choose to modify and personalize their items into a unique piece. This involves sitting together with our qualified Designer who hand sketches in front of, and with the client, to create quality, individual pieces.
As Gemmologists, Registered Valuers and Diamond Graders, we can then assist the client with the selection of Certified Diamonds and Gemstones, ethically sourced direct from the cutters, enabling JDS to combine individuality and top competitive prices.
JDS specializes in remodelling, utilising our hand design and skilled manufacturing techniques to remodel old jewellery into new pieces, transforming old unworn items into new family heirlooms. Each of these pieces having a unique story.
Our clients deal directly with the people who design and handcraft their pieces ensuring they receive the best possible advice.
In store, we carry a large selection of unique engagement rings, ladies and mens wedding bands, & anniversary rings, together with numerous individually designed one off jewellery pieces for those looking for a special gift. As a family jeweller we also offer repairs and valuation services."

Business Description
Jewellery Design Studio is the brainchild of Alex Vanasco and Sally Chaplin. With over 35 years of combined experience they are also the heart and soul of the company. Desiring to offer both a personal design service and quality handcrafted jewellery, as well as retaining personal contact with clients, is a strong focus of the Jewellery Design Studio mission. As creative individuals we do not want to lose contact with those people who inspire us daily – our clients.
