Queensland manufacturers have until 6 November 2026 to apply for a state government-backed program offering up to $250,000 in co-funding for artificial intelligence (AI) projects, according to ARM Hub.

The Queensland Manufacturing AI Uplift Trial Program provides 80% co-funding for fully delivered AI services, with ARM Hub engineers working directly with successful businesses to identify an application, build and deploy a solution, and measure its results.

Eligible applicants must employ between five and 500 full-time equivalent staff, have at least half of their workforce based in Queensland, and have operated continuously in the state for at least two years. Businesses must also demonstrate a clear AI use case and a practical pathway to deployment.

The program will include at least one Flagship Project for a regional Queensland manufacturer, defined as a business located outside Greater Brisbane.

Shortlisted applicants will work with ARM Hub to develop an AI roadmap at no cost. A joint ARM Hub and Queensland Government panel will assess the roadmaps and select multiple Flagship Companies for fully delivered AI projects.

According to ARM Hub, shortlisted companies are expected to be announced by the end of November 2026, with roadmaps developed between November and December. Flagship Companies are scheduled to be announced by the end of January 2027, with projects commencing in March.
