Queensland manufacturing will be showcased through a statewide program giving manufacturers, tertiary students and educators opportunities to visit facilities and see new technologies and processes in operation during Queensland Manufacturing Month.
Manufacturing Queensland said Inside Advanced Manufacturing will run from 1 to 11 September 2026, with selected manufacturers and manufacturing support organisations across Queensland opening their doors to visitors.
The program will provide participants with opportunities to see manufacturing technologies in action and hear from businesses about their experiences adopting new approaches, according to Manufacturing Queensland.
“See technologies in action and hear directly from the businesses using them,” Manufacturing Queensland said in its announcement, adding that participants could learn about what had worked, challenges businesses had overcome, and the impact of solutions on productivity, efficiency and growth.
The organisation said the program is intended to support knowledge sharing among manufacturers while also giving tertiary students and educators an opportunity to explore manufacturing as a potential career.
Inside Advanced Manufacturing will include participating organisations across metropolitan and regional Queensland. Listed participants include PWR Performance Products on the Gold Coast; Abbe, Coca-Cola, Hetech and Masters & Young in Brisbane’s south; and ArmHUB/AI Adopt Centre, Corematic, G. James Glass and Aluminium, Herston Biofabrication Institute, Platypus Print Packaging, Queensland XR Hub, Sharpe Engineering, TAFE Eagle Farm and Watkins Steel in Brisbane’s north.
Other participating organisations include Country Chef on the Sunshine Coast; ABB Group, Aletek, Downer Group, McHugh Steel and other organisations in the Wide Bay area; and JCU College of Sciences and Engineering, JS Welding and Rising Sun FPV in Townsville.
The program also lists manufacturers and organisations in Warwick and Ipswich, including Integria Health, RXI, Thompson Longhorn, James Hardie and TAFE Bundamba.
Manufacturing Queensland said the event is suited to manufacturers seeking to visit other manufacturing facilities, share knowledge and build on innovation, as well as tertiary students and educators exploring manufacturing as a prospective career.
The event is not open to the general public. Visitors must nominate their preferred sessions when registering and receive approval before attending, with participation instructions and directions to be provided to approved attendees.
Manufacturing Queensland said it would endeavour to confirm participation in a tour within two weeks of an expression of interest.
Further information and registration details are available through the Inside Advanced Manufacturing program.
