Gilmour Space Technologies has secured $217 million (US$145 million) in private equity funding to expand its Australian manufacturing operations and support the next phase of growth in domestic space capability.

The South Australian Government has announced that the Koonibba Test Range will facilitate another 20 spacecraft returns by 2028 under an agreement between US company Varda and local operator Southern Launch.

Australia has marked a milestone in domestic space manufacturing with the successful production of the nation’s first bimetal rocket thruster using multi-material 3D printing, under a program led by the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ).

Australian satellite manufacturer Skykraft announced the successful completion of their flight readiness study for Skykraft's Block III satellites, which are now being shipped to the US in preparation for launch on the next SpaceX Transporter mission.

In-space electric propulsion company Neumann Space has completed equipping its propulsion system, called the Neumann Drive, onto Skykraft’s Australian-designed and manufactured satellite.
