Following its recent dual cab deliveries, ZERO Automotive has completed the first single cab, zero emissions, ultra-safe ZED70 Ti EV Platform.

Prior to being transferred to the IGO Nova nickel-copper-cobalt project in Western Australia, the vehicle was delivered to Barminco in Perth, where mining-specific equipment was fitted.

The vehicle, which includes dual AC/DC-DC charging with the CCS Combo2 connection, was modified for and passed its subterranean certification process after being introduced to Operations, Maintenance, and Emergency Services personnel and doing some validation and data gathering runs.

“This is the second vehicle delivered as part of the METS Ignited Funding Agreement previously awarded to Zero Automotive,” the company said in a statement.

“It also forms part of the trials being done by Barminco in their role as lead of the Electric Mine Consortium light and auxiliary vehicle working group, of which Zero Automotive is also a participant.”
