Bellevue Orchard is set to expand its juice manufacturing operations in Victoria, with upgraded equipment and a new bottling line at its Officer facility expected to double production of its Summer Snow Australian juices.
According to the Victorian Government, the expansion is expected to improve the quality of juice products supplied across Australia, support faster order fulfilment and help increase the company’s domestic and export revenues.
Bellevue Orchard has grown apples for four generations and has been producing apple juice for almost 30 years. The business began as a traditional apple orchard in 1953 and has since expanded into the production of juices, cider and apple cider vinegar.
The Victorian Government said the investment comes as Greater south east Melbourne continues to serve as a major manufacturing hub, generating $89 billion in economic output and employing more than a quarter of Victoria’s manufacturing workforce.
The government said the Victorian Industry Policy and the $150 million Victorian Investment Fund are supporting the state’s industrial base through investment in targeted areas including advanced food manufacturing.
According to the government, these initiatives are intended to support jobs, exports and innovation across Victoria’s manufacturing sector.
