Bristile Roofing has introduced a new terracotta roof tile collection manufactured in Spain, expanding its product range for Australian homes with a focus on design flexibility, durability and re-roofing applications.

The Alicantina collection is crafted by Spanish roofing manufacturer Tejas Borja and combines a traditional terracotta appearance with a flat barrel-pan profile designed to support water drainage.

According to Bristile Roofing, the tiles also offer natural thermal mass, which can help moderate temperature fluctuations. The collection features four colour options: Roja, a classic red; Fosca, a dark brown; and Norteña and Litoral, which both feature multi-tonal finishes.

The tiles incorporate a variable overlap gauge, giving installers greater flexibility when working with different roof layouts. Bristile Roofing said the feature makes the collection particularly suitable for re-roofing projects, where existing structures can present installation challenges.

“ Alicantina brings together European roofing expertise with the performance and design considerations required for Australian homes,” said Brett Ward, head of marketing at Brickworks.

“With a versatile range of colours and finishes, the collection offers greater flexibility to create roofs that are both durable and visually considered.”

The collection has been used in a re-roofing project on Rocket Street in Bathurst, regional New South Wales, where the Roja finish was selected to complement the home’s existing architecture.

Alicantina is backed by a 50-year warranty and Bristile Roofing’s Colour for Life guarantee. The full colour range is available across New South Wales and Queensland.
